Handmacher, James V.
Mr. Handmacher’s practice focuses on commercial litigation, probate litigation, real estate transactions and litigation, environmental law, and land use law. His litigation experience includes appearances in trial courts throughout western Washington, as well as all levels of appellate courts.
Mr. Handmacher’s environmental experience has included representation of clients involved in superfund sites in Pierce County, resulting in the successful settlement of remediation and natural resource damage claims. He has successfully guided clients through remediation of contamination at individual sites.
Mr. Handmacher also has extensive experience in land use law. He has represented property owners in guiding their projects through a maze of permitting. He has also represented property owners and neighborhood groups protecting their interests affected by development proposed by others.
